These services are fully supported by a number of multi-disciplined engineers, including our UK Technical and Logistics support centre which, once again, is staffed by senior experienced engineers retained from the previous shareholder, formerly John Brown Engineering Ltd. (JBE). This centre provides the necessary technical base that is required to underpin the variety of activities that MJBI International can provide. In addition to engineering support, the same UK office is also responsible for material sourcing and procurement to ensure that clients purchase quality components at the most competitive price. Spare parts
MJBI maintain a substantial computerized inventory of spare parts for the GE type heavy duty gas turbine. Our parts inventory is continuously monitored to ensure that the majority of customer's spare parts requirements are satisfied ex-stock for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Component repairs
MJBI offer and extensive and complete range of repair services from our global repair workshops. Stationary and rotating parts, rotor overhauls and specialized services e.g. coatings, metallurgical evaluation, special laser machining operations etc. MJBI are extensively known for our cost effective parts repair solutions through the use of many patented, approved proprietary and innovative processes. MJBI also offer a component exchange arrangement, giving our customers the possibility to minimize their inventory. This service is available for most capital spares parts.
Field and engineering services
MJBI employ numerous field (hands-on) technical advisors of all disciplines, as well as, experienced service support staff that have been in the power generation industry for many years. Our engineering services include overhaul, troubleshooting, engineering and technical support, planning, control system retrofits, plant upgrades and relocation.
Long term service agreements
Complete management and maintenance services required for scheduled maintenance, unscheduled breakdown maintenance (with access to the MJBI strategic spare parts stockholding and rotor club), part repairs, plant modifications, condition monitoring, diagnostic trending, fault finding, plant improvements, inspection planning etc for an agreed duration.
MJBI work with customers to develop and implement the most cost-effective way of running gas turbine(s) in the current generation market. This includes the option of re-cycled repaired Combustion and Hot Gas Path Components, using latest technology to extend maintenance periods investigating peak firing possibilities etc.
Additionally, MJBI provides spares-management knowledge to maximise commercial and technical benefits for customers. A portfolio approach to stock holding, extending the stock management work already carried out by customers.
Remanufactured gas turbine generator packages:
MJBI's customized workshop facility is fully equipped to perform complete GE Frame gas turbine refurbishment and coupled with over 2,500 man years of OEM engineering experience, we can overhaul and remanufacture GTG packages to our client's specific requirements. We also have available stock GTG package ready for onward sale with warranty, enabling us to provide an economic and fast track solution.
Control systems, condition monitoring and diagnostics
The Sentinel turbine control systems are designed for the retrofit of GE gas turbine controls; Speedtronic and LA family of controllers.
Tiger continuously evaluates the state of the gas turbine by automating the knowledge of the best gas turbine engineers. By diagnosing the state of the turbine every second, a complete picture is built-up of the condition of the turbine. Tiger performs several thousand fault detection steps every second.
Training
MJBI have trained over 2,000 engineers and employees over the last years. We have devised specialist courses and comprehensive training programs for management, maintenance and operation personnel. These courses are available to suit all disciplines.
